Multi-Unit Residential Building Retrofit Program
Support for opportunity assessments, feasibility studies and equipment upgrades for multi-unit buildings. This is a joint program supported by the Province of B.C. through CleanBC and BC Hydro.
Incentives available

| Opportunity assessment | Up to $5,000 per site for an opportunity assessment conducted by a qualified consultant. |
| Feasibility study | Up to $30,000 per site for an in-depth analysis of a specific system in your building. |
| Equipment upgrade: For electrically heated buildings | Heat pumps (central and in-suite*) Heat pump water heaters (central and in-suite*) High-efficiency windows Ventilation make-up air unit |

General eligibility requirements
- Applicant must have an active BC Hydro or City of New Westminster account
- Building must be a purpose-built market rental, condominium, or equity co-op building located in the BC Hydro service territory, including New Westminster
- Building characteristics: low-rise apartment, high-rise apartment and stacked townhome buildings, three storeys or higher with common area lighting and central mechanical systems
- The following building types are not eligible:
- New construction projects
- Commercial spaces in mixed-use buildings
- Smaller multi-unit residential buildings like multiplexes and side-by-side rowhomes
