Light Emitting Diode. LED light bulbs are more efficient than incandescent light bulbs because they require less power (watts) to produce the same amount of brightness (lumen) as standard incandescent bulbs. They have a low power consumption, low heat generation, and a much longer lifespan when compared to incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs.
